Lightroom Quicktip, brighten your image.

In this very short post we tell you a way to brighten your image.

To do this go to the develop model and increase the Shadows and Whites.  

If its still to dark increase the the exposure.  With some local adjustments like the radial filter we can brighten her face even more.

Photoshop Quicktip, Go black and white with an adjustment layer

There are many ways to go black and white in Photoshop. One of the ways is to add an Black and White adjustment layer in Photoshop.

Open the image you want to convert in black and white.

Now add a Black and white Adjustment layer.

In the proporties screen you can now fine tune the image, by dragging the sliders to the left or the right. Or you can use a preset. 

Because you are using an adjustment layer you can mask parts out. Just paint with black on the mask, to see the underlying layer.

Easy and quick way to go black and white.

Before and after in Photoshop

How to make an easy split before and after in Photoshop.

1. start with a picture.

2. Do all your edits and add them to a group (Cmd or Ctrl G).

3. Duplicate the background layer and bring it on top.

4. Make a selection with the Rectangular Marquee Tool.

5. Go to Layer > Layers Mask > Hide Selection.

Easy and simple

Add a line in the middle to make the slit even clearer.
