Graduated filter in Lightroom

Today I'd like to take you through working with the graduated filter in Lightroom,

I'll start with this picture:

I reckon the sky is way too bright and not adding much to the picture. To pull it down I'm using the graduated filter.

Pick an item you'd like to change and you can reset it by double clicking on effect

Next: put the filter over the sky. By holding the Shift key, it'll straighten out.

The irritating thing is that the church in the image is also affected by the filter. Luckily this can be easily fixed by using the brush inside the graduated filter and then using the erase functions.
So now hit O for the mask function. Now it's easy to see what you're doing with the eraser tool

You can add more then one Graduated filter. You can always change or remove a graduated filter.

The end result. Its a bit over the edge but it's to show what you can achieve with using the graduated filter.
